| 断路器的可靠分断对于切除故障以及防止电力系统故障的进一步扩大至关重要，故障切除迟缓也会危及系统的稳定性。实际应用中经常安装断路器失灵保护，该保护监测断路器是否在合理的时间范围内断开。如果在断路器跳闸启动开始后一段延时时间内故障电流没有被终断，断路器失灵保护将动作。断路器失灵保护被用来作为后备跳开上级断路器，以确保故障可靠切除。 |

| Abstract: |
| Reliable open-close operation of circuit breaker is essential to isolate the faults and pre-vent the further damage of power system.Delayed fault clearance may also threaten power system stability.In practice,the circuit breaker failure protection is normally installed,which monitors whe-ther the circuit breaker opens within a reasonable time.If the fault current has not been interrup-ted after a time delay set from the circuit breaker trip initiation,the breaker failure protection will operate.It is used as a backup tripper of upstream circuit breaker to ensure proper fault isolation. |
