ATM的MPLS域融入

摘要:
MPLS技术具有优良的网络性能,而ATM的组成方式又被目前大多数主干网所采用。研究如何把ATM交换机融入到MPLS域中,是个具实际意义的研究课题,在多协议标交换技术的实现中,其核心部分就是标签的分配和维护。着重介绍了采用VC交换的ATM-LSR,并详细描述了它的标签分配与维护过程,对于标签分配,不同的ATM交换机,如支持和不支持VC合并,位于域的边缘或其他位置,其采取的方式是不同的。考虑到ATM的硬件机制原先并没有考虑TTL技术,介绍了一种基于路径向量的环路检测方法,此外,还简略地介绍了采用VP合并的ATM-LSR。

Abstract:
While the technology of Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) owns excellent network performance and the network configuration mode of ATM is adopted by most of current backbone network, it is of great significance to use ATM in MPLS domain. Label distribution and maintenance is the crux in the implementation of MPLS technology. The ATM?LSR that is capable of "VC merge" and its label distribution and maintenance procedure are introduced. Different ATM?LSR, being capable of "VC merge" or not, sitting at the edge of an ATM?LSR domain or not, distributes label in different way. Regarding to the 'TTL -decrement' function that is not considered by ATM hardware mechanism, the method of loop detection based on path vector is presented. In addition, the ATM?LSR adopting "VP merge" is introduced elementarily.
