|Aiming at the renewable generation systems with distributed variable speed pumped storages and multiple flexible resources, based on the analysis of the operation characteristics of fixed and variable speed pumped storages, a flexible resource planning model with distributed variable speed pumped storages is proposed. The model not only considers the operation and capacity constraints of fixed and variable speed pumped storages, but also considers the resource allocation of battery energy storages, demand response and thermal power units. By relaxing the bilinear constraints of variable speed pumped storages, the established model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming problem with the objective of minimizing the expected cost, which is solved with a two-stage stochastic optimal method to obtain the optimization planning scheme. By comparing with the fixed speed pumped storage planning scheme, it is verified that the proposed planning scheme of distributed variable speed pumped storages has the feasibility and superiority on system economic and flexibility.
