Remote test method based on sniffing idle state for smart substation breaker

Abstract:
Combined with the communication mechanism of GOOSE message,a method based on sniffing idle state is proposed for the remote test of smart substation breaker,based on which,a model system is proposed. By monitoring the interactive messages between the intelligent terminal and the measuring & control device and by sending the remote control signal during the communication idle state,the system completes the open,close or open-close-open test of breaker. Because the proposed method applies the standby port of GOOSE switch,the existing network structure and the normal operation of other IEDs(Intelligent Electronic Devices)are not affected,which effectively solves the technical problem of the breaker switching test during the site arrangement of IEDs.
